"Art from A Toy" exhibit launched at one Bay Area college

You've heard all about the new Lego land theme park in Winter Haven but now another institution in the area is getting in on the brick building act Polk state college in Winter -- launched its first ever art from a toy exhibit. And has -- reporter Jennifer Lee explains it features all things like now. -- me Tom.

In the is a guy you might -- in the nicest possible way as a -- geek -- part of the greater Florida later user group.

And we do displays all over the state of Florida. But five or six a year we really just kind demonstrates some of the fun stuff he can do if you have plenty of breaks.

So that fun stuff is now on display in a new exhibit at -- state college in Winter Haven where Todd does hold down a day job to do liberals trying to get people to think that.

It goes beyond just the toys that a child you missed it can be something as a way to express. Yourself.

As way to be creative he's artistic expressions of Lego creations are far from kids' stuff.

This is called squares it was number Robin Werner. And what he's done here is he's taken seven different colors of Lego bricks. He's organizing into seven different sized squares. And overlaps them. He's done something I think here's some really original and really speaks to the kind of hard -- she can do with Lego.

Admittedly Todd and most other Lego artist did get their start -- kids building simplistic -- with those not be little studs on top.

But practice can turn toys and art there's other techniques where you can orient the bricks and different.

Geometry is and we call that it's not building studs not on top. The finished products are sometimes more like toys mimicking our mimicking life like Roy Lichtenstein.
